About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Meta, you will shape product development across Meta's family of apps using data analysis and statistical approaches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve product challenges, influence strategy, and drive impact for billions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using analytical and statistical approaches.
• Apply quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data mining to develop product strategies.
• Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key metrics.
• Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve products and drive roadmaps.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform and execute product strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R).
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at time of hire and maintain it during employment.
• Currently has or is obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in collaborating with individuals and organizations.
• Experience working with large scale datasets.
• Internship experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
