About the Role

The Data Scientist will lead end-to-end data science solutions for Amazon Music's DISCO team, focusing on generative AI and machine learning to address real-world challenges. They will analyze data, build models, and democratize data access through self-service tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Data Science solutions from beginning to end
• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists to design and evaluate generative AI solutions
• Build Machine Learning and statistical models to solve business problems
• Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data for decision-making
• Analyze historical data to identify trends and support optimal decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 2+ years of data scientist experience
• 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) or scripting languages (e.g., Python)
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling experience
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
• Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company
