Lead a team of scientists and engineers to solve complex scientific problems with high business impact at Amazon. Build structural and predictive models, drive innovation, and deliver measurable results for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Manage and develop a diverse science team, fostering innovation and delivery
• Technical & Scientific Direction: Define scientific vision, develop models, and implement data science workflows
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Establish team structure, processes, and performance tracking mechanisms
• Communication & Influence: Communicate findings to stakeholders and influence science practices across the organization

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years building quantitative solutions as a scientist or science manager
• 2+ years managing scientists or machine learning engineers
• 5+ years applying statistical models for large-scale applications and building automated analytical systems
• PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning or equivalent quantitative field

Nice to Have:

• Experience with machine learning technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or NLP
• Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience operating large data warehouses
