About the Role

Data Engineer at Meta builds scalable data solutions to optimize growth and user experience across products like Facebook and Instagram. Responsibilities include designing data models, solving integration challenges, and influencing product decisions with data-driven insights. The role requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to address complex data challenges at massive scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs
• Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations for multiple use cases
• Define and manage Service Level Agreements for data sets in allocated areas
• Solve data integration problems using ETL patterns and query techniques from structured/unstructured sources
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with data (e.g., data analyst, data scientist, data engineer)
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#, Scala)
• Must remain in role in the same team in India for minimum 24 months before transfer eligibility

Nice to Have:

• Master's or Ph.D degree in a STEM field
