About the Role

The Data Engineer III role involves designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions for Amazon's eCommerce Services. You will work with AWS services and internal tools to process business data, improve data architecture, and support global business expansion. Responsibilities include developing data products, ensuring data governance, and collaborating with business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data products, infrastructure, and pipelines using AWS services and internal tools
• Improve existing solutions and design next-generation data architecture for scale and quality
• Develop new data models and end-to-end data pipelines
• Create and implement Data Governance strategy for privacy and security risk mitigation
• Work with business analysts and engineers to design data warehouses for reporting and analytics

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

Nice to Have:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices on data engineering
