About the Role

This Data Engineer III role focuses on designing and implementing scalable data engineering solutions for Amazon's eCommerce Services. The position involves building data pipelines, developing data products, and creating data governance strategies to support business analytics and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data products, infrastructure and data pipelines leveraging AWS services and internal tools
• Improve existing solutions and design next generation Data Architecture
• Develop new data models and end-to-end data pipelines
• Create and implement Data Governance strategy for mitigating privacy and security risks
• Design and implement scalable ETL processes in data warehouse platforms

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers
