About the Role

The Data Engineering Consultant will design and implement modern data platforms on AWS, focusing on scalable and secure solutions. They will lead technical workshops, develop data pipelines, and establish DataOps practices to drive business value. The role requires working with customers to modernize data architectures and optimize data processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern data architectures on AWS
• Lead technical discovery workshops and architecture design sessions
• Develop and implement batch and streaming data pipelines using AWS services
• Establish DataOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and data quality frameworks
• Implement data governance, security, and cataloging frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical/architectural trade-offs
• Experience with integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies
• Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
