About the Role

The Data Center Project Engineer supports construction of AWS data centers by managing communication, tracking design changes, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. This role involves daily site interaction, document management, and ensuring high-quality delivery of data center construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish communication and coordination across general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design changes, RFIs, and change orders
• Request and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for detail, necessity, and risk
• Onboard new vendors for badging and orientation
• Update project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Four-year degree in a technical field (engineering, construction management) or trade school OR 4+ years of related construction experience in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years' experience working in the construction industry or an engineering organization
• Experience updating and managing construction data including milestone dates, RFIs, design changes, and change orders

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with IT tools such as MS Office Suite including Project, Excel, and Word
• Experience with project management software tools such as Procore and document control
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar computer aided design software
• Experience in a mission critical data center along with experience developing workflows and tracking systems across 3+ organizations/teams
