About the Role
The Data Center Project Engineer supports construction of AWS data centers by coordinating communication between contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams. Responsibilities include tracking design changes, managing documentation, and ensuring high-quality delivery of data center construction projects.Key Responsibilities
- Establish communication and coordination across data center region's general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain tracking system for design changes, RFIs, and change orders with dashboard for leadership review
- Request and review MOPs (Method of Procedure) for proper detail, necessity, and risk
- Update project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents
- Manage checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Four-year degree in technical field (engineering, construction management) OR 4+ years related construction experience
- 2+ years experience working in construction industry or engineering organization
- Experience updating and managing construction data including milestone dates, RFIs, design changes, and change orders
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with IT tools such as MS Office Suite including Project, Excel, and Word
- Experience with project management software tools such as Procore and document control
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar computer aided design software
