About the Role
The Data Center Controls Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and managing building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) in AWS data centers. They develop new processes, manage improvement projects, and provide technical support throughout the data center lifecycle.Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS issues
- Manage scope, schedule, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects
- Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces
- Review and implement controls sequence of operation (SOO)
- Participate in global on-call schedule for technical support
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
- Experience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
Nice to Have:
- 5+ years project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
- Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations with deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure
