About the Role

The Data Center Controls Engineer maintains and troubleshoots building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) in AWS data centers. Responsibilities include project management, vendor coordination, and technical support to ensure reliable infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS issues
  • Manage scope, schedule, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects
  • Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces
  • Provide technical assistance and support throughout data center lifecycle
  • Participate in global on-call schedule for immediate technical support

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant work in data center or critical environment experience
  • 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience

Nice to Have:

  • 3+ years of construction or project management experience
  • Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
  • Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent
