About the Role

The Data Center Chief Engineer ensures all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates at peak efficiency in AWS data centers. They manage maintenance, emergency response, and lead engineering teams while maintaining 100% availability of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
  • Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports on critical facility operations
  • Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems
  • Data Center capacity planning and reporting
  • Respond to out of hours emergency calls as first level escalation point

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
  • 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Nice to Have:

  • 4+ years of Data Center Engineering Experience
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience leading a team
