About the Role

Field Engineer supporting AWS Data Centers in San Antonio, TX, providing full life-cycle engineering from design to maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, design reviews, project management, and ensuring operational reliability for data centers serving the US intelligence community. Must be a US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers
• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
• Own design for data center upgrades and solutions to improve capacity and efficiency
• Lead engineering site audits and produce risk reports with mitigations
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects and support commissioning

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

Nice to Have:

• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities like data centers
• Experience as resident engineer or hands-on design consultant with knowledge of building codes
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical data center equipment and EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls systems
