About the Role

The Chief Engineer oversees day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in AWS data centers, ensuring 100% availability of critical infrastructure. They manage projects, provide technical leadership, and train Engineering Operations Technicians while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot facility events
• Create and deploy standard practices for engineering operations teams
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Industrial or Data Center fields related Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in data center or critical environment
• Engineering Degree in Electrical or Mechanical

Nice to Have:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid leadership and organizational skills
• Data Center or critical facility experience with minimum 8 years of experience
