About the Role

The Azure Customer Engineer role involves providing world-class engineering-led support for Azure customers, resolving complex technical issues, and driving customer success. Responsibilities include proactive customer engagement, critical problem resolution, and advocating for product improvements. This position requires deep cloud computing expertise and strong customer-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive Customer Engagement – Understand and support key solutions, workloads, and priorities on Azure
  • Critical Problem Resolution – Lead Azure Support to drive fast mitigation of issues impacting critical workloads
  • Case Ownership – Directly own customer support cases from end to end and deliver great customer experience
  • RCA Ownership – Own and drive timely delivery of quality root cause analysis to prevent future issues
  • Engineering Engagement – Champion product feedback and feature requests to address customer pain points

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI or related field AND 2+ years experience
  • 3+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and specialized security screenings
  • U.S. citizenship verification required for government agency support

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, or technical support
  • 1+ year of customer facing experience
  • Experience with Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS
  • Technical skills in Core IaaS, Data Platform, Azure PaaS Services, or automation languages
