About the Role

This is a 48-month Automation Engineering Apprentice role at Amazon, where you'll work with cutting-edge robotics and automation systems in fulfillment centers. You'll gain hands-on experience with advanced technology while working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship and BSc in Controls and Automation Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting maintenance and fault-finding on automated systems and robotics
• Using diagnostic tools to keep conveyors and sortation equipment running smoothly
• Planning preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Collaborating with engineers to develop new process improvements and energy-efficient solutions
• Working in 24/7 shift patterns covering days, nights and weekends

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Be 18 years or over before start date (September 2026)
• Have right to live and work in England for entire programme duration
• Have lived in UK or EEA for last 3 years and be UK resident for programme duration
• Have at least 5 GCSEs grade 4/C or above including Maths and English
• Have three A levels grade 4/C or above in Mathematics, IT, Physics or Engineering, OR BTEC level 3 engineering qualification with further mathematics

Nice to Have:

• Maintenance or Engineering HNC/D qualification
• PLC, automation, electronics or electrical bias in qualifications
