About the Role

This is a 48-month Automation Engineering Apprentice role at Amazon, working with cutting-edge robotics and automation systems in fulfillment centers. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience with advanced automation technology while working toward a Level 6 apprenticeship and BSc in Controls and Automation Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting maintenance and fault-finding on automated systems and robotics
• Using diagnostic tools to keep conveyors and sortation equipment running smoothly
• Planning preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Collaborating with engineers to develop new process improvements and energy-efficient solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
• Have the right to live and work in England for the entire programme duration
• Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years
• Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
• Three A levels at C (grade 4) or above in Mathematics, IT, Physics, or Engineering, OR BTEC level 3 engineering qualification with further mathematics

Nice to Have:

• Maintenance or Engineering HNC/D qualification
• PLC, automation, electronics or electrical bias
