About the Role

This role involves testing and improving audio/video quality for Microsoft's communication products. The engineer will develop automation, analyze data, and work with hardware/software setups. They will leverage AI tools and collaborate with feature teams to ensure high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define testing scope and create quality plans for features
• Use data insights to improve test coverage and build visualizations
• Implement automated and manual testing, supporting issue mitigation
• Build and maintain end-to-end benchmarking setups (hardware and software)
• Develop automation scripts and code for audio/video analysis and data pipelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with Python for scripting or automation
• Proficiency in analyzing test data, presenting findings, and drawing actionable conclusions

Nice to Have:

• Good base knowledge of audio and/or video domains
• Experience with Python with Pandas or other data analytics and visualization tools
• Knowledge and experience with data analytics and visualizations
• Experience with audio, video, and media quality testing or audio/video recording and editing as a hobby
