About the Role

This role involves conducting fundamental research in visual reasoning and agentic AI to develop sophisticated AI systems that understand and interpret visual information. The Applied Scientist will design novel frameworks, advance multi-modal foundation models, and transform research insights into scalable solutions for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a novel agentic AI framework to solve diverse visual AI challenges in the physical world
• Advance the theory and practice of multi-modal foundation models for visual understanding
• Design new approaches to memory and attention mechanisms for processing continuous visual streams
• Create innovative techniques for efficient visual processing that can scale to real-world applications
• Research new methods for autonomous decision-making based on visual inputs

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or MS with equivalent research experience)
• Track record of publications at top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR), specifically focusing on visual reasoning, scene understanding, or visual-language models
• Strong background in computer vision, deep learning, and multi-modal foundation models
• Experience with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks

Nice to Have:

• Deep knowledge of large multimodal models, fine-tuning techniques, and agentic frameworks, particularly in computer vision
• Experience with large-scale model training and optimization
• Background in cognitive science or computational neuroscience relating to visual processing
