About the Role

This is an Applied Scientist I role at Amazon Music Catalog Team focused on applying machine learning and AI to solve real-world problems at scale. The position involves building, training, and deploying ML models using large datasets while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to define business problems as ML or optimization tasks
• Build, train, and evaluate models using large, complex datasets
• Implement scalable data pipelines and model-serving systems
• Analyze experimental results, draw insights, and refine models to improve accuracy
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse

Nice to Have:

• Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code
• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
