About the Role

Join Amazon's Frontier AI & Robotics team to develop breakthrough foundation models for robotic intelligence. You'll drive independent research in perception, manipulation, and multi-modal models, bridging state-of-the-art research with real-world deployment at scale. Collaborate with platform teams to ensure robust performance in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement novel deep learning architectures for robotics
• Drive independent research initiatives in robotics foundation models
• Lead technical projects from conceptualization through deployment
• Collaborate with platform teams to optimize and scale models
• Contribute to technical strategy for next-generation robotics challenges

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals

Nice to Have:

• First-author publications at major ML/robotics conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, etc.)
• Experience with foundation models or large language models
• Background in computer vision, robotics, or related fields
