About the Role

The Applied Scientist role on the AGI team focuses on developing industry-leading Generative AI technology using Large Language Models and multimodal systems. The scientist will lead algorithm development, leverage Amazon's data and computing resources, and create products that directly impact customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of algorithms and modeling techniques for LLMs
• Advance state-of-the-art in Large Language Models
• Build products and services using Generative AI technology
• Leverage Amazon's data sources and computing resources
• Work with talented peers on the AGI team

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field
• 1+ years building models for business applications
• Experience with generative deep learning models (CNNs, GANs, VAEs, NF)
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python or related language

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Strong experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models
• Patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
• Experience with PyTorch deep learning framework
