About the Role

The Applied Scientist on the Ads Measurement Science team develops measurement solutions using scientific technologies like Generative AI, ML, and Causal Inference to measure ad spend impact and provide insights. They lead projects from inception to production, building models and partnering with engineers to deploy solutions. The role involves technical leadership, mentoring, and contributing to the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead measurement solutions end-to-end from inception to production
• Propose, design, analyze, and productionize models for measurement insights
• Implement critical-path code and partner with engineers for production deployment
• Mentor junior scientists and participate in hiring process
• Share and publish works with broader scientific community through conferences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 2+ years of building models for business application experience
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application

Nice to Have:

• Experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as MxNet and Tensor Flow
• Experience in professional software development
• Experience in building speech recognition, machine translation and natural language processing systems
• Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience in state-of-the-art deep learning models architecture design and optimization
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
