About the Role

The Applied Science Manager will lead the development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques for multimodal generative AI and computer vision systems. This role involves managing a team to advance state-of-the-art technology using large-scale computing resources. The work directly impacts customer products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques for multimodal systems
• Advance state-of-the-art with multimodal LLMs and GenAI in Computer Vision
• Manage and mentor a team of scientists and engineers
• Leverage heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources
• Impact customers through products and services using vision and language technology

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
• Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of applied research experience

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Experience leading, mentoring and growing teams of five or more scientists
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
