About the Role

The Application Engineer role at Amazon's Retail Business Services (RBS) involves providing technical leadership and support for services, leading multi-team projects, and resolving complex support issues. Key Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert and technical lead for services
• Lead large multi-team projects and resolve complex support issues
• Design and develop complex high-performing scripts and applications
• Provide on-call support for alarm monitoring, infrastructure, and bug fixes
• Mentor, train employees and play significant role in hiring

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of software development or technical support experience
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience in Unix and scripting in modern programming languages
• Good understanding of relational database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience in Cloud technology
• Hands-on experience with distributed/enterprise applications
• Experience in developing automated solutions
• Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
