About the Role

The Analytics Engineer role at OFX involves performing engineering and analytics tasks within a cross-functional data team. Responsibilities include analyzing data patterns, creating data models and visualizations, and partnering with business domains to drive data literacy and self-service analytics. The position requires at least 2 years of experience with Python, SQL, cloud data warehousing, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify patterns, correlations, and customer journey insights
• Partner with business domains as a Subject Matter Expert and train users on data utilization
• Create data models, transformations, and visualizations to enable self-service analytics
• Work within engineering and insights teams to adopt best practices for data modeling and analysis
• Coordinate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve production issues

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• At least 2 years' experience in Python, SQL, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Data Visualization
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality insights to business stakeholders and driving data-based decisions
• Experience working across engineering and insights teams to implement and maintain production solutions
• Previous exposure to event-based data sources and near real-time analytics

Nice to Have:

• Previous domain experience in the Financial Services industry
• Experience with BigQuery, Looker Studio, Mixpanel, or DBT
• Familiarity with the One Big Table (OBT) design pattern
