About the Role

The AI Research Scientist, Robotics role involves conducting fundamental and applied research in embodied AI and robotics. Responsibilities include developing novel data-driven paradigms, creating algorithms based on machine learning, and building prototypes. The position requires collaboration with scientists and engineers to advance robotics technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental and applied research in embodied artificial intelligence
  • Invent/improve novel data-driven paradigms for robotics using various modalities
  • Develop algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural networks
  • Define, build, and benchmark new functionalities for next-generation AI
  • Plan and execute novel research aligned with long-term organizational goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Currently has or is obtaining a PhD in AI, Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field
  • Experience in research areas such as robotics, embodied AI, reinforcement learning, or computer vision
  • Experience in robotics-related research like robot learning, manipulation, navigation, or sim-to-real transfer

Nice to Have:

  • 2+ years of industry experience in robotics research areas
  • Proven track record with publications at leading conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICRA, CVPR)
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and Python
  • Experience working with robot simulations and real-world hardware
