About the Role
This role involves developing advanced 3D machine learning and computer vision models for real-time perception in AR/VR devices. The AI Research Scientist will research, prototype, and integrate state-of-the-art ML systems for 3D reconstruction, scene understanding, and embodied AI. Responsibilities include building real-time prototypes and collaborating on projects from research to deployment.Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop and prototype state-of-the-art ML and software in domains like World Models, 4D scene understanding, and 3D reconstruction
- Build/integrate real-time prototypes for advanced 3D machine perception systems
- Collaborate with team members throughout project lifecycle from prototyping to deployed products
- Deliver research results with direct impact on Meta and AI-enabled products
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Currently has or is obtaining a PhD in computer vision, Machine Learning/AI, robotics, or equivalent
- Track-record of state-of-the-art publications in top conferences
- 3+ years C++/Python experience with mastery of modern features
- 3+ years experience with modern ML frameworks
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment
Nice to Have:
- Proven track record of significant results via grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications at leading conferences
- Demonstrated software engineer experience via internships, work, coding competitions, or open source contributions
- Experience working on real-time, high-performance systems in robotics, world models, AR/VR, or other areas
- Experience working in a Linux environment
