About the Role

Amazon is hiring an AI Content Expert II for a 12-month contract to create and annotate high-quality training data for LLMs. The role involves working with text, image, and video data, making judgment calls on complex tasks, and collaborating with scientists and engineers. It requires a bachelor's degree, 2+ years of experience with language data, and strong writing and research skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and annotating high-quality complex training data in multiple modalities (text, image, video)
• Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles adhering to guidelines
• Performing audits and quality checks of tasks completed by other specialists
• Making sound judgments and logical decisions with ambiguous information
• Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of experience working with written language data, including annotation and data markup
• Strong research skills to gather information, understand complex topics, and synthesize resources
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods

Nice to Have:

• Strong proficiency in English (C1 level CEFR)
• Experience with creating complex data for LLM training and evaluation
• Familiarity with common markup languages (HTML, XML, Markdown) and text formats (JSON, CSV, RTF)
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Familiarity with regular expressions syntax and Large Language Models
